THE KEYSIS MISSION STATEMENT
Keysis strengthens and encourages the youth of the St. Francis
Community and their families by empowering them to live as
Disciples of Jesus Christ, drawing them into participation in
the faith community, and fostering their personal and spiritual
growth. Keysis is comprehensive in scope to meet the various
needs of the youth community.
What does all this mean?
Keysis combines the fun and energy of a youth group with the
teaching and formation of Religious Education. Mix in some
music, food, drama, retreats, liturgies, trips, leadership
training, socials, and service projects. Wrap it in prayer and
you have a dynamic youth process that leads young people to
deepen their love for Christ and His Church.
Who Can Come?
Keysis is open to all students of high
school age; Confirmed or not-Confirmed, Catholic or
non-Catholic, rich or poor, cool or not-so-cool. This is
NOT a club. It is a community where ALL are loved as
they are and called to grow in their faith in Jesus.
What is taught? Each year, we will
focus on one of the four pillars of the Catechism of the
Catholic Church. Special Topics, Teen Issues, and
Current Events are also covered. Text Needed: Holy
Bible. Keysis has Bibles on hand for those who
don’t own one of their own.
When
and Where?
Keysis meetings are on Wednesday nights
from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the San Damiano Center. We
begin each class with a meal, so come hungry!
How do I register for Keysis?
Ask Chris Jennings, St. Francis Youth Minister, or any adult leader for registration forms and we will
get that for you. Cost is $15.00 to register but we don’t want
money to stand in the way of attendance. Let us know if you are
in need of financial assistance.
